The program is now accepting applications for the 2025 Summer cohort. 

Applicants are required to submit:

  • Three letters of reference. Applicants who have completed their master’s degree within the past five years are strongly encouraged to have at least one letter of reference from a faculty member from their graduate program
  • A Statement of Purpose, no more than 2000 characters in length, outlining your interest in the program and an initial plan for the culminating project
  • Three short essays of no more than 2000 characters each describing (1) your current area of clinical practice and expertise, (2) your five- and ten-year career goals, (3) what you view as the most pressing concerns or biggest challenges facing our field today and why, and (4) an optional short answer essay where you may include additional information about yourself and your personal and/or career journey
  • Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, including study abroad programs, even if credits were transferred. You can upload copies directly into the application system; official copies are not needed initially. Admitted applicants must order official e-transcripts from each educational institution following offer acceptance
  • Official course-by-course verification(s) for degree(s) earned outside the US sent to:

  • Confirmation of your certificate of clinical competence (CCC) and current licensure from the state in which you practice
  • Current CV or resume
  • Other international applicant considerations
  • $40 application fee
  • The GRE is not required for admission.

The SLPD Committee will begin reviewing completed applications in early December and continue on a rolling basis. Semifinalists will be selected by the committee and interviewed (via Zoom) by at least two committee members. Decisions are released in early Spring.
