In order to be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following criteria.
1. Degree: Applicants must hold an earned masters degree in speech language pathology from an ASHA accredited program.
2. ASHA Certification: Applicants must hold a Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech language pathology. Strong applicants completing the clinical fellowship year (CFY) during the application cycle will be considered; however, students must have their CCCs at the time of matriculation.
3. Employment: Applicants must have at least three years (cumulative) employment experience as an SLP. Strong applicants with less than three years of employment as an SLP will be considered under the caveat that they remain employed during the duration of the SLPD program.
